Here's something interesting! Now I know there are lots of scrapbook shops that have online sites, but I was looking at a trade website that had literally hundreds of scrapbook shops all over the States, for sale!
Do you think that scrapbooking has peaked? I've also noticed lots of ads lately in scrapbook mags for new digital scrapbooking companies. Is this maybe becoming as popular as regular scrapbooking?
Kind of like a sign of the times isn't it, everything is fast and we have no time to do anything. So maybe that's the way we have to do even our leisure things now, fast and efficiently!!!!!
Am I completely way off here? Any thoughts? |

I personally like to touch and feel my scrapbooks. I work on a computer all day and don't want to do it as part of my hobby (other than surfing the web for good deals and chatting on boards like this!). I think it is hard for the shops that are scrapbook exclusive to turn a profit when they have to compete with such places as Michaels, Joanns, etc....even Costco now! I think a lot of people also turn to buying things off the internet. It is just easier sometimes and with the price of gas, etc, it's cheaper than driving all over town to find what you are looking for.
That's just my opinion though and I can certainly see the "place" for digital scrapbooking (I've considered doing some gifts that way - certainly would be quicker than what I chose to do for xmas gifts this year!) |

| I've thought about doing digital scrapbooking. It would be much easier than going to the store to get my digital pictures made into prints, and I would be able to try different things without spending money if I don't like the end result. But, it would be a major pain to scan my pictures that I took before I got my digital camera. Another big drawback is that I most of my scrapbooking is of our Disney trips, so I really like the Disney papers that I can get at Recollections. I don't know anywhere I can get Disney stuff for digital scrapbooking. |

So I guess the way to do both would be to do the older pictures with the regular papers and the new digital pictures you could try doing as a digital scrapbook!
I bet there are some Disney digital themes, as popular as Disney is. |
